Privacy Policy
North Star Learning — a free educational game for young children, by EmersonDigital.
Effective August 3, 2026
North Star Learning collects no data. It does not store, transmit, sell, or share any information about the people who use it. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party services of any kind.
Information we collect
None. The app asks for no personal information and gathers none in the background. It does not collect names, email addresses, photos, contacts, location, device identifiers, advertising IDs, or any record of what a child taps, plays, or spells.
Network access
The app has none. The Android version requests no internet permission at all, and neither version contains any code that talks to a server. It works entirely offline — there is nowhere for data to go, by construction rather than by policy.
What stays on the device
Two things are saved locally, on the device itself, and are never uploaded anywhere:
- ✓ Your settings — sound and voice toggles, color palette, card-grid size, and keyboard choice. Deleting the app deletes them.
- ✓ Finger Paint artwork, but only when someone taps Save. The picture is written to the device's own photo gallery, exactly as a screenshot would be, and stays there under the owner's control. The app never reads the gallery — it can only add.
Finger Paint also offers a Share button, which hands a picture to whatever app the grown-up chooses (Mail, Messages, and so on). It sits behind a parental check, and nothing is shared unless a grown-up passes that check and picks a destination. Anything that happens after that is governed by the app they chose, not by us.
Children's privacy
North Star Learning is made for young children, and it is built so that a child cannot disclose anything to us or to anyone else. We collect no personal information from anyone, including children under 13, so there is nothing for a parent to review, correct, or ask us to delete. The app contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, no sign-in, no chat, no user-generated content shared with others, and no links out to the web that a child can reach unaccompanied.
Third parties
There are none. The app bundles no advertising networks, analytics SDKs, crash reporters, attribution tools, or social-media kits. No data is disclosed to anyone, because none is gathered.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app ever collects anything, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described plainly here rather than folded into the app's release notes.
