Take a slow, steady video all the way around your subject. That's the whole ask — any phone will do. No app to download, no special gear.

A photogrammetry pipeline rebuilds your video into a true-to-life 3D model. It gets cleaned up by hand, checked, then printed in tough, kid-safe PLA — primed bright white.

A note on pricing: final dollar pricing isn't locked in yet. During beta, minis are paid in credits — each costs its size, and credits come from an activation code, not a card.
Why Paintlin's
Paintlin's is built around one picture: brushes out, colors mixing, and a bright white mini slowly becoming something unmistakably yours. The figurine is only half the product — the other half is the afternoon you spend painting it.
It's deliberately small-batch. Every scan is reviewed by hand before it prints, every mini is primed by hand, and nothing ships until it's ready for a brush.
There's a practical side too: a beloved plush that could never be replaced finally has a stand-in. Make a couple — one for the backpack, one for the shelf.
Film a scan that prints beautifully
Five simple moves. Soft, matte, textured things scan best — stuffed animals, toys, trophies, a pet holding still, your own face. Shiny glass and mirrors are the only real troublemakers.
Light it evenly
Even light is the whole game — an overcast day outside is perfect. Skip direct sun and harsh single lamps.
Pose it, keep it still
Your subject can't move a muscle. Pose it exactly the way you want it printed.
Keep it in focus
Blurry frames are wasted frames. Tap your screen to lock focus on the object.
Circle it slowly — twice
A smooth, unhurried lap, filling most of the frame. Two slow laps is usually plenty.
Catch every angle
Vary your height — the top of the head, the tucked-away undersides. Whatever the camera never sees can't be rebuilt.
You can't really mess this up
Every scan is checked by hand before it prints. If it's not quite enough, you'll hear exactly what to reshoot — no surprises, no wasted prints.
